The bathroom door is a mix of wood from the corral and pine that came from trees that grew in Elaine's mom's backyard, which we had milled and shipped to Albuquerque several years ago. The design was inspired by the paneling in the cafeteria at the Museum of International Folk Art in Santa Fe.
The
vanity is made from wood found in the old corral. The countertop is cast
concrete with an integral sink. Shower tiles are slate (the larger tiles) and
marble (the diamonds). The shower floor is made from pebbles, including many
sent by friends who collected them from around the US (and a few from
overseas).

The windows are trimmed with curly maple, sometimes known as tiger or flame maple.
Lying in bed, we get a wonderful view of the cliff to the east, as well as the night sky.
